Dart Monkey Guide (BTD 6)

Dart Monkeys throws single dart at nearby Bloons. Short range and low pierce but cheap. Most of the time, Dart Monkeys are used as a starter while farming money for heroes, because this tower is unlocked first in every Bloons TD version.

Dart Monkeys (0/0/0) looks like a real monkey with brown skin and looks very different on its tier 5 upgrades.

Cost

The price varies on difficulty, as shown below:

• Easy – $170
• Medium –$200
• Hard –$215
• Impoppable – $240

Upgrades

Just like previous version (btd 5) you can choose on three different paths with unique attack, strength, and weaknesses.

Ultra-Juggernaut Path

This path excels on creating havoc. If you manage to upgrade into 5th tier, you can see spiked balls everywhere. Great on ceramic rounds.

• Tier 1: Sharp Shots –can pop one extra bloon per shot.
• Tier 2: Razor Sharp Shots – can pop two extra bloon per shot.
• Tier 3: Spike-o-pult –converts the dark monkey into a Spike-o-pult that hurls a large spiked ball instead of darts. Good range, but slower attack speed. Each ball can pop lots of bloons.
• Tier 4: Juggernaut –hurls a giant spiked ball that excels at crushing ceramic bloons.
• Tier 5: Ultra-Juggernaut –gigantic spiked ball splits twice into six Juggernaut balls for even more destructive power.

Plasma Monkey Fan Club Path

I rarely use this path because I prefer Super Monkey towers instead. But if you want to experiment on your strategy, you might want to use this path.

• Tier 1: Quick shots –shoots 15% faster.
• Tier 2: Very Quick Shots – Shoots 33% faster!
• Tier 3: Triple Shot – throws three darts instead of one.
• Tier 4: Super Monkey Fan Club – an active ability that converts up to 10 nearby Dart Monkeys including himself into Super Monkeys for 10 seconds.
• Tier 5: Plasma Monkey Fan Club –elite membership of this club grants the Dart Monkeys even more power!

Crossbow Master Path

My personal favorite. Crossbow Master is insane! It can destroy a normal MOAB in seconds, this tower is a must have. Make sure to unlock two Crossbow Master using knowledge feature.

• Tier 1: Long Range Darts –makes the dart monkey shoot further than normal.
• Tier 2: Enhanced Eyesight –shoots even further and can detect camo bloons.
• Tier 3: Crossbow –uses a long range Crossbow that can pop three layers of bloon every hit.
• Tier 4: Sharp Shooter – does powerful crit shots every few seconds that do a lot more damage.
• Tier 5: Crossbow Master –shoots really fast and devastates most bloon types with ease.
